R&D & Laboratory
Beyond production, METAL-X relies on an in-house laboratory dedicated to research, development and process qualification.
A genuine differentiator, this centre of expertise in chemistry and metallurgy makes it possible to test, validate and co-develop custom solutions with its customers.

The METAL-X laboratory is equipped with high-precision analytical instruments to ensure the conformity of every treated batch.

- Atomic absorption spectrometer: precise analysis of metal compositions.
- UV spectrophotometer & Hull cell: monitoring bath efficiency.
- Colorimeter & automatic titrator (fine measurement of colorimetric and chemical parameters)
- Microscope, HD camera, UV inspection: detection of defects invisible to the naked eye.
- Fischerscope X-Ray & DeltaScope: precise thickness measurement.
- Salt-spray chamber: accelerated corrosion tests.

Packaging and conditioning
Custom packaging is offered to meet each customer’s specific requirements.
After treatment, parts are handled with care to avoid any surface alteration. Packaging is carried out immediately to limit the risk of oxidation or contamination. Batches are identified by clear labelling incorporating the information required for traceability.
Storage, logistics and delivery
From receiving the parts to their delivery, METAL-X provides integrated, secure and uninterrupted logistics. A fleet of lorries with daily shuttles ensures regular rotations across the whole of France and immediate responsiveness to the needs of its industrial partners. Extended storage across two sites offers the capacity to absorb volumes, even during production peaks, while optimised FIFO management ensures controlled rotation and preserves the quality of the stored parts.
Every flow, from inbound to outbound, is traced and archived in real time thanks to the integrated ERP, guaranteeing full visibility of order status. In this drive for continuous optimisation, we are deploying an automated warehouse with Toyota AGV automated guided vehicles, making internal flows more reliable, securing handling and smoothing the movement of parts between the different production stages. Because a good surface treatment is worth nothing without a reliable, on-time delivery.
Quality control
Quality control is integrated at every stage of our surface treatment processes to guarantee that parts conform to the specifications.
We carry out visual, dimensional and functional checks, as well as verifications of the deposit characteristics (appearance, thickness, adhesion, etc.), using appropriate measuring equipment.
These checks are performed during production and at the end of the process to ensure the repeatability of results and the reliability of the delivered parts. All operations are traced, allowing precise batch monitoring.
Technical support & complementary services
Beyond production, we support our customers in defining and optimising their surface treatment needs.
Our teams provide technical support upstream of projects to guide process and treatment choices, anticipate part-related constraints and ensure compatibility with the requirements of use. This dialogue helps to secure the production phases.
We also remain available throughout our collaborations to provide advice, adjust parameters where necessary and address the technical issues encountered. To offer comprehensive support, certain complementary services can be carried out directly in our plant or, depending on needs, in collaboration with our network of specialist partners.
These services include thread-locking (coating), laser or ink marking for identification and tracking, adding QR codes after treatment, refitting seals and microsectioning.
